1.Course Condition

Course management based on agronomic principles.
We provide the best course conditions at all times.
Accordia Golf has leveraged its scale to establish a central procurement system, achieving efficient course management through low-cost procurement of high-quality materials. Accordia Golf was also the first to introduce scientific methods based on agronomic principles to golf courses in Japan, recruiting specialists with advanced course management know-how called agronomists. Course management manuals have been prepared by these agronomists, allowing Accordia Golf to maintain ideal conditions through optimal methods suited for each golf course instead of relying on instinct or empirical rules for grass management and other areas as in the past.

MARKET CHARACTERISTICS OF JAPANESE GOLF

Golf Course Management in Japan in the 1980s
During the bubble economy years, Japan’s golf market was dominated by corporate business entertainment demand, and the image was one of “men”, “older generation”, “high class” and “status”.
The deposit system was the pillar of golf course management, and the priority was on maintaining the market price of golf club memberships. As a result, the common policy was to limit growth in rounds played to a certain number. In addition, despite being a service business, the emphasis was on status and existing rules rather than developing services to meet the needs of various users.
In other words, most golf courses expected members to abide by rules set for the convenience of golf course operators.
Accordia Golf’s Business Model
Accordia Golf has set a goal to increase what is normally 40,000 annual rounds played per course to around 60,000 during two to three years after acquisition. To achieve this, the Group has introduced new golf carts, prepared cart roads and refurbished club houses to improve comfort for players and enhance convenience, while at the same time creating a new atmosphere and dispelling the old image.
Accordia Golf will also be improving the quality of course conditions during the first three years, and aims to improve efficiency by offering various playing styles while improving the fee structure.
Specifically, the Company will be establishing a new fee structure after analyzing operating ratios by the day and by the hour in order to offer different fees for weekday and holiday play, in addition to early morning, afternoon and prime-time play.
